Impact Barney found the end zone on a seven-yard rush in the second quarter, giving the Cornhuskers their only score of the game and drawing the team within a touchdown at the time. The freshman receiver also recorded season-highs in targets, receptions and yards, leading the team in both targets and receptions on the day. Barney will hope to build some positive momentum coming off his performance this week, starting with a roadtrip to Columbus to face Ohio State this coming Saturday.

Scores in conference victory Barney hauled in 2 of 3 targets for 28 yards and rushed for 66 yards and touchdown during Saturday's 28-10 victory versus Purdue.

Impact Barney had a breakout performance against the Boilermakers, finding the end zone on a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter to give the Cornhuskers a 21-3 lead. The freshman receiver recorded a season-high 94 total yards on the day, though his limited touches (six) present concern for his volume moving forward. Still, it's nice to see Barney's potential productivity if given the opportunity. His next chance to earn a larger role within the offense will come when the Cornhuskers host Rutgers on Saturday.
