Surpasses 2023 totals Gibson caught six passes for 72 yards on Sept. 7 in the Connecticut 63-14 win over FCS Merrimack.

Impact In the one game the sophomore already has more receptions and receiving yards this season compared to 2023. Last season Gibson caught four passes for 62 yards. In the two games this season, he has nine receptions for 92 yards, but is still looking for his first touchdown. The Huskies take on Duke this Saturday (Sept. 14). The Blue Devils were in the top 50 in the nation against the pass last season.

Starting in Week 1 Gibson will start for the Minutemen in Week 1, per their opening depth chart.

Impact Gibson dealt with an injury this offseason, but managed to work his way back for spring and fall camp. He's now listed as a starter for UMass in Week 1, and should continue to be a staple of its passing attack moving forward.
