Five catches in season opener Edrine hauled in four of five targets for 59 yards during Saturday's 49-0 win against Indiana State. Impact Edrine tied with tight end Max Klare for a team-high in targets Week 1. The junior wideout was expected to serve as one of the Boilermakers' primary pass-catchers after transferring from Florida Atlantic in 2022, but he suffered a torn ACL last August and sat out the entire 2023 campaign. His first game for Purdue certainly indicates that he should be one of, if not the, No. 1 wide receiver this season for quarterback Hudson Card, who went 24-for-25 for 273 yards and four touchdowns Saturday. However, Edrine and the rest of the rest of Purdue's pass-catchers will have a tought task getting open in their next game versus Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 14.
