Impact Garcia was benched during the Pirates' Week 6 loss at Charlotte and that decision has spilled over into Week 8 with Katie Houser making his first start of the season. Garcia has been very loose with the ball this season as he has thrown an interception in every game, totaling 12 through six starts.

Impact Garcia was benched late in the second quarter Saturday shortly after he threw an interception, his 12th through six games this season. Katin Houser played the remainder of the game but did not look good as he completed fewer than 40 percent of his passes. Given how poorly Houser played Garcia likely won't lose the starting job, however he clearly has a short leash due to his turnover issues.

Impact Garcia has found his next destination after announcing his decision to transfer just two days ago. A former top-25 recruit, Garcia should have a real shot to compete for the starting quarterback gig right out of the gates alongside Brady Cook, who his currently recovering from right shoulder surgery.
