Impact Kitna committed three turnovers Saturday, the third time in his six starts he has committed three turnovers. Although it's difficult to forget his 400-yard, six-touchdown performance versus Tulsa in Week 10, it appears that was an anomaly. He will look to bounce back Saturday versus Rice.

Impact Just one week after throwing for 404 yards and six touchdowns versus Tulsa, Kitna came back down to earth Saturday. He completed just over 50 percent of his passes for a season-low 233 yards. He also turned the ball over three times (two interceptions and a lost fumble), his fourth time in five starts with multiple turnovers. He and the Blazers were up 23-10 in the second half and blew the game, in part due to Kitna's turnovers. He has a decent chance to bounce back Saturday at Memphis.

Lights up Tulsa Saturday Kitna was 25-for-32 passing for 404 yards and six touchdowns during Saturday's 59-21 win against Tulsa. He also had five rushes for 15 yards.

Impact Kitna was fantastic Saturday as he made his fourth consecutive start and finally was able to lead to his team to a win. He did so by tossing a school-record six touchdown passes, four of which came in the first half as the Blazers' jumped out to a 45-0 lead. All of his touchdown passes came from beyond 14 yards and three of them -- all of which went to Kam Shanks -- were beyond 30 yards. He also threw for a career-high 404 yards and did not turn the ball over for the first time this season. Jacob Zeno's (shoulder) remains a question for the Blazers' next game on Saturday versus UConn, and if he's unable to go Kitna will have the impossible task of following up his career day.

In line to start Saturday Kitna is in line to start Saturday's game against Tulsa with starting quarterback Jacob Zeno sidelined once again, per Steve Irvin of BHamBanner.com.

Impact Kitna is on pace to make his fourth consecutive start after Zeno was announced as out for Saturday's contest while recovering from a shoulder injury. Kitna has shown his gunslinger nature in his three starts this season, throwing for 865 yards and four touchdowns to six interceptions in that timeframe. The redshirt junior has clearly shown the capability to throw the ball and put points on the board, but it remains to be seen if he can cut down on the turnovers. He'll get the chance to prove himself once again on Saturday.

Impact Kitna threw the ball a whopping 56 times Saturday and his overall production saw a nice increase. He threw for 384 yards and tossed a pair of touchdowns to Amare Thomas. He also turned the ball over twice for the third straight game, so it was not all great. The upcoming bye week will give Jacob Zeno (shoulder) extra time to get healthy, but if he is still out Kitna would start Nov. 2 versus Tulsa.

Improves in second start Kitna completed 25 of 39 passes for 242 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 44-10 loss versus Army. He also had eight rushes for negative nine yards.

Impact Kitna made his second straight start Saturday with Jacob Zeno (shoulder) out and performed much better than he did in the first outing. He completed 64 percent of his passes and threw a touchdown to Amare Thomas, however he threw another two interceptions, bringing him up to five in two starts. If Zeno is unable to go again Saturday at USF, Kitna will be in line to start once again.

Impact Kitna will draw a second consecutive start in place of Jacob Zeno (shoulder). Kitna struggled in his UAB debut last week, completing just 48.8 percent of his attempts with three interceptions. He'll face another tough test against Army in Week 7.

Impact Kitna made his UAB debut Saturday and it did not go great. He completed fewer than 50 percent of his 41 attempts and threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. He did throw one touchdown though, a 73-yard strike to Amare Thomas in the fourth quarter. If Jacob Zeno (shoulder) is unable to go again on Saturday at Army, Kitna will likely start again.
