Seemingly done for day Hayens left Saturday's game against Miami in the first quarter and isn't expected to return, per the ESPN broadcast.

Impact Haynes took a shot to the upper body that was reasonably close to the head, and he reportedly gave away his gloves after leaving the medical tent. There's certainly concern about a concussion, and the Yellow Jackets will have to go the rest of the way without the star back. Georgia Tech has a bye on deck, so King's next chance to play arrives Nov. 21 versus NC State.

Impact The offense struggled as a whole as Georgia Tech tried their hands with two different quarterbacks. Neither quarterback could find much success through the air while Virginia Tech clamped down on the running game holding Haynes to just 2.6 yards per carry.

Impact With the Yellow Jackets' last game of 2023, Haynes finished said year with more than 1,000 rushing yards, an immaculate output immediately following his transfer from a non-FBS college. He announced his return to the Jackets for 2024, when expectations will be much higher for him. After all, Haynes proved to be a top back in 2023, so it should not be surprising if he can be one again this year.
