Won't return Tuesday Brown suffered an upper body injury and won't return to Tuesday's Birmingham Bowl against East Carolina, Danny Kelly of the Post and Courier Myrtle Beach reports.

Impact Brown caught two passes for seven yards during the first half before he sustained the injury. The redshirt freshman closes the 2022 campaign with 49 catches for 789 yards and six touchdowns, and he also had 20 carries for 187 yards and another score.

Stellar performance in win Brown hauled in 12 catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's win against Georgia State. He also carried the ball four times for 27 yards.

Impact Brown barely saw the field last season only catching one pass for a five-yard touchdown. As a sophomore, Brown has been called upon to have a bigger role in the offense and he hasn't disappointed thus far hauling in 14 catches for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Expect Brown to continue his solid play as one of the main offensive weapons for Coastal Carolina.

Impact Brown was initially listed as questionable with an illness heading into Saturday's action but was able play through it. The redshirt freshman was able pile up 71 yards in the Week 2 win over Gardner-Webb but has otherwise combined for 53 yards in the team's other two games.

Impact Brown has six catches for yards in two games this season. The redshirt freshman left last Saturday's game at halftime because of his illness. Coastal Carolina coach Jamey Chadwell said that a non-COVID illness has been spreading around his team.
