Joins Troy Doege has joined the Troy football program and is eligible to play this season, Troy University beat writer Josh Boutwell reports.
Impact Doege has had a wild adventure this offseason. He decided that he would not return to West Virginia after throwing for over 6,400 yards and 40 touchdowns with the Mountaineers. Doege then planned to sign with Western Kentucky, but he entered the transfer portal last week. Time was obviously running out for the sixth-year senior and he joined Troy this week and was practicing with the team Thursday. Doege is obviously late to the party, but it shouldn't be long until he ascends to the top of this depth chart.

Impact Doege was in line to be the starter at Western Kentucky after throwing for 3,048 yards and 19 touchdowns with West Virginia in 2021. Before transferring to the Hilltoppers in January, he spent one season with Bowling Green and three seasons with West Virginia.
