Hits paydirt against UMass Gathings caught 2 of 5 targets for 31 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 47-42 victory against Massachusetts.

Impact Gathings' 26-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter helped him survive another quiet outing. The Akron transfer only has three catches for 36 yards in the past two games to end the regular season. Both games came after an outing of 52 yards on six catches against UAB on Nov. 9. For the regular season Gathings had 285 receiving yards on 28 receptions and three touchdowns.

Leads Huskies in receiving Gathings totaled six receptions (on 10 targets) for 52 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 31-23 victory against UAB.

Impact Gathings 21-yard touchdown reception against UAB came in the fourth quarter that turned out to be the game-winner. The junior has registered two of his best weeks in the last three games. Gathings will try to put together another quality outing against Syracuse on Nov. 23. But the Orangemen defense is in the top 40 against the pass in the country.

Season best with UConn Gathings had seven receptions (on 11 targets) for 75 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 23-20 loss to Wake Forest.

Impact Gathings led the Huskies in receiving and marked his best for the season. The Akron transfer had not reached more than 29 receiving yards for UConn before the contest against Wake Forest. The touchdown was also his first for the Huskies. Gathings might have a tougher time catching the ball this week against Rice (Oct. 26). The Owls pass defense is top 16 in the country, but Rice has allowed almost two passing touchdowns per game in 2024.

Quiet outing in loss Gathings hauled in their only target for 15 yards during Saturday's 26-21 defeat against Duke.

Impact Gathings was limited to just one catch on Saturday as the Huskies lost a close one against Duke. The 6-foot-1 redshirt junior wideout has totaled three receptions for 38 yards through UConn's first three outings.

Heads to locker room Saturday Gathings (undisclosed) was injured and headed to the locker room in the first half of Saturday's game versus Merrimack, Joe Arruda of the Hartford Courant reports.

Impact Gathings walked off under his own power, a promising sign, but headed straight to the locker room. The extent of his injury and his status for the remainder of the game is unknown.

Catches seven passes vs. Miami (OH) Gathings had seven receptions for 69 yards against Miami of Ohio on Wednesday night.

Impact Gathings has 16 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. Next week (Nov. 14) against Eastern Michigan, he may have some fantasy appeal in deeper leagues.

Impact Gathings has still topped 50 yards just once all season, with 27 catches in eight games.
