Headed to Charlotte McGowan has announced his commitment to Charlotte.

Impact McGowan will join the 49ers after spending this past fall with Boston College. The 5-foot-7 wideout, who started his career at Vanderbilt, logged two carries for 13 yards during his time with the Eagles. As a member of the Commodores, McGowan caught 80 passes for 836 yards and three touchdowns across 24 games, adding on 32 carries for 160 yards on the ground.

Set to enter portal McGowan is set to enter the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reports.

Impact Transferring from Vanderbilt to Boston College did not really pan out for McGowan. The junior was more of a kick returner than a wide receiver, which is not difficult when one logs zero receiving yards, what he recorded during BC's 2024 regular season.
