68 yards in loss Burton caught five passes for 68 yards during Saturday's 36-10 defeat to Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Burton caught five passes for the second time this season and turned it into a season-high 68 receiving yards, which led the team. He has not been consistent enough to rely on though, as his two previous games he caught a total of two passes for 15 yards.

Looking to play elsewhere Burton announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he's entered the transfer portal.

Impact Burton is now in line to attend his fourth different university next fall, after he previously enrolled at Southern Illinois (2018-19), Iowa Central (2020-21) and Florida Atlantic (2021-23). While with the Owls over the last two years, the Florida native registered at least 25 receptions, 480 yards and three scores in both of those seasons. Burton will carry one more remaining year of eligibility wherever he ends up next campaign.

Impact Burton got hurt earlier this season and then had a couple of unremarkable games. Maybe he's back to full strength, and before he got hurt he did have a game with 115 yards and a touchdown against Ohio.

Impact Burton suffered an apparent injury in last week's win over Southeastern, however, early signs suggest he'll be able to go Saturday against the Knights. The redshirt junior has caught a touchdown in each of the first two games to open up the year and figures to be plenty involved in the passing attack upon his return to action.

Impact Burton apparently injured himself early in last week's win over Southeastern Louisiana and did not come back in. The redshirt junior had snagged a touchdown in each of the first two games this year while combining for 151 yards. Lajohntay Wester had a massive game in his absence and could be due for a repeat performance if Burton is unable to suit up.
