Returns to the century mark Love recorded 12 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in their only target for negative two yards during Saturday's 51-14 win versus Navy.

Impact It was the second time this season that the sophomore running back surpassed 100 yards and the first time in his career with the most touchdowns in a game. His best game in rushing yardage came against Purdue (Sept. 14) with 109 rushing yards and a touchdown. Love could make it three games with 100-plus rushing yards in the next game on Nov. 9 against Florida State. The Seminoles defense is in the bottom quarter in the nation against the run.

Career best in receiving Love had 14 carries for 36 yards and one touchdown and caught all three targets for 57 yards during Saturday's 31-13 victory versus Georgia Tech.

Impact On the positive side Love led the running backs in carries, added a rushing touchdown and also had a career-high in receiving yards. On the negative side the rushing yards were the second lowest this season (34 yards against Louisville on Sept. 28). The sophomore continues to be the number one running back for the Irish this season. He will look to rebound on the ground against the Navy on Saturday (Oct. 26). The Midshipmen defense against the run is in the bottom third in the country.

Leads Irish on the ground Love totaled six rushes for 53 yards and one touchdown and hauled in their only target for 25 yards during Saturday's 49-7 victory over Stanford.

Impact Love did his damage with half the carries of his nearest competitor in the backfield, Jadarian Price. Notre Dame starting quarterback Riley Leonardhas been taking away rushing yardage from both running backs. Love might face one of the toughest rushing defenses in Georgia Tech on Oct. 19.

Impact Love had his chances on the ground with 11 carries, but it did not amount to much. On the positive side the five catches were a career best for Love. Love will have a tougher time finding running room against Stanford, Oct. 12. The Cardinal rushing defense is in the top 10 in the country.

Impact Outside of Irish quarterback Riley Leonard, the Notre Dame offense sputtered and did enough to win. The 60 yards was a season-low for Love. The sophomore will look to rebound against Louisville (Sept. 28). The Cards defense is top 20 against the run in the country, but Louisville's schedule has been relatively weak.

Impact Love had his best day for the Irish. His previous high mark on the ground was last season against Ohio State, 57 yards on eight carries. The sophomore could have another big game running the ball on Sept. 21 against Miami (Ohio) who allowed Cincinnati's Corey Kiner to collect 126 rushing yards on Saturday.
