Impact The final numbers were sufficient for fantasy-related concerns, but 2.6 yards per carry is not good. While Jackson has become the clear number-one back for the Miners, his next game is against Tennessee, so he's probably out of luck there.

Overl 100 total yards Jackson ran 21 times for 83 yards and had five catches for 33 yards Saturday against MTSU.

Impact While Jackson didn't rush for over 100 yards, he did have over 100 yards total for the third game in a row. Jackson actually led the Miners in catches and receiving yards, mostly because quarterback JP Pickles can't really throw the ball and is only a threat with his legs.

NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE

Over 100 yards again Jackson ran 22 times for 112 yards versus La Tech on Tuesday.

Impact That's back-to-back games with over 20 carries and over 100 yards for Jackson. Last week Ezell Jolly was benched after fumbling, and he did not regain his role this week, as Jolly only got seven touches in this matchup.

OCTOBER 23 • ROTOWIRE

Huge game versus FIU Jackson ran 26 times for 148 yards and a touchdown and had one catch for a 22-yard touchdown versus FIU on Wednesday.

Impact Jackson had disappeared from the offense with Ezell Jolly getting healthy. However, head coach Scotty Walden benched Jolly early after he lost a fumble. That thrust Jackson into a key role against a bad run defense, and he made the most of it. Now, the question is what the carry split looks like next week against La Tech.

OCTOBER 17 • ROTOWIRE

Carries increase, yards decrease Jackson (undisclosed) logged six carries for that many yards during UTEP's 44-17 loss Thursday at Western Kentucky.

Impact Unlike when UTEP hosted Sam Houston for their game on Oct. 3, Jackson logged more than five carries at Western Kentucky. However, he recorded single-digit yardage this Thursday. Ezell Jolly logged 44 carries for 195 yards and one touchdown between the aforementioned games. They indicate Jackson is being used less, not injured.

Participation dips in Week 6 Jackson only played nine snaps in Week 6, according to Pro Football Focus.

Impact It's unclear why exactly Jackson's participation dipped so drastically against Sam Houston, but he had tallied at least 35 snaps in every game prior. The tailback has logged 59 carries for 233 yards this season.

OCTOBER 8 • ROTOWIRE

Held to 36 yards Jackson ran 10 times for 36 yards Saturday against Colorado State.

Impact Unfortunately for UTEP, it seems like the "What if we just port over the Austin Peay offense?" experiment is not working out. Jackson is a prime example of that. He ran for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns at the FCS level in 2023. This year, he's tallied 214 yards and zero rushing scores through four games.

SEPTEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE

Rushes for 67 yards Jackson ran 15 times for 67 yards versus Liberty on Saturday.

Impact With every game this season, Jackson's yards per carry has improved. That's encouraging, given he was a star with Austin Peay at the FCS level last season. There is a concern in the fact he hasn't rushed for a TD, though.

SEPTEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE

Catches TD Jackson ran 20 times for 80 yards and caught four passes for 22 yards and a touchdown against Southern Utah on Saturday.

Impact Last year, as Austin Peay's lead back, Jackson only had 11 catches all season, so these four catches feels anomalous in what is the same offense ported over to UTEP. He's only averaged 3.7 yards per carry, so that is a bit of a concern, but he remains the top back for the Miners.

Held to 32 yards Jackson ran 10 times for 32 yards versus Nebraska on Saturday.

Impact Jackson is one of many players who followed head coach Scotty Walden from Austin Peay to UTEP. In a fast-paced FCS offense, Jackson ran for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Visiting Nebraska in his first game as an FBS back was a dose of reality for Jackson.
