Lights up the box score again McCarthy completed 21 of 27 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns during Saturday's 49-0 victory versus Michigan State. Impact McCarthy and the Wolverines dominated the game from start to finish, as the junior quarterback delivered three touchdowns in the first half to go up 28-0 at halftime. The junior went on to tally his best passing marks of the season, and he was a rather limited rushing threat after figuring prominently into this phase over the previous four games. All three of these first-half touchdowns went to his top two pass catchers in Roman Wilson (two receptions, 50 yards, one touchdown) and tight end Colston Loveland (four receptions, 79 yards, two touchdowns), as these two have now combined to catch 14 of McCarthy's 18 passing touchdowns this season. McCarthy and the Wolverines should continue to roll against Purdue in Week 9.
