With a bye coming Week 13, it's possible that James could have a bigger workload during this coming Saturday's road game at Wisconsin.

Impact James eclipsed 15 carries for the first time since the massive Week 7 win against Ohio State. The 210-pound senior had a light workload in the back-to-back blowout wins Weeks 8 and 9, but he stayed in the game longer during what ended as yet another runaway win for the Ducks. He did not score his two-yard rushing touchdown until the final 25 seconds of the game, as backup running back Noah Whittington got the ball for rushing scores of one and six yards in the second quarter. James still logged over twice as many carries as the Ducks' RB2, and he's now scored a touchdown in all but one of the team's six games versus Big Ten opponents. He'll look to find the end zone again during this coming Saturday's game against a 4-4 Maryland squad.

Logs 83 yards in easy win James tallied 15 rushes for 83 yards and caught all two targets for 17 yards during Saturday's 38-9 win versus Illinois.

Impact James and the Ducks ran through what had been a pretty stout Illinois defense this season. The 210-pound back once again led the team in rushing with at least 15 carries for the sixth time in eight games. But, he didn't get into the end zone, as quarterback Dillon Gabriel scored a seven-yard carry followed by back-to-back touchdowns for RB2 Noah Whittington in the third quarter. Oregon has now scored 16 rushing touchdowns this season with eight going to James and five going to Gabriel. With a lopsided margin of victory for the second week in a row, it's pretty clear that the team just wanted to save its RB1 from unnecessary carries in the second half. James will look to find the end zone during this coming Saturday's contest at Michigan.

After a choppy start to the season, Oregon's rushing game has found its footing thanks to some improved blocking upfront. This has greatly opened things up for James, even though he logged just two explosive rushes with rushes of 12 or more yards versus the Buckeyes. No matter what, James' physical running style combined with a healthy workload should make him a productive rusher moving forward.
