Impact Kelly had a monster performance with a season-high 18 targets. He has double-digit targets in six of nine games this year and clearly the number one target in the Texas Tech offense. While his yards per target shades towards the lower side, he sees enough volume to make it worth it for most fantasy rosters. He should be in line for another strong performance against Colorado next week.

Low YPT in loss at TCU Kelly posted seven receptions (on eight targets) for 19 yards during Saturday's 35-34 defeat versus TCU.

Impact Kelly posted a low 2.7 yards per target (YPT) which is well below his season average at 7.5 yards per game. Behren Morton left the game with a serious injury which forced true freshman Will Hammond into action which could be part of the reason for the significant change in YPT in the losing effort to TCU. It's also worth noting that teammate Caleb Douglas has received double digit targets in each of the last three games and has emerged at the team's top receiver over the last month of the season. Texas Tech will play at Iowa State next week.

Team-high 12 targets in loss Kelly posted nine receptions (on 12 targets) for 76 yards during Saturday's 59-35 defeat versus Baylor.

Impact Kelly led the team with 12 targets, but it was teammate Caleb Douglas who had a big fantasy performance with nine catches (on 10 targets) for 99 yards and three touchdowns. Kelly is averaging 10.4 targets per game which suggests he should have more than the three touchdowns he has right now. Look for Kelly to receive plenty of looks and start to see more scores if the opportunities continue. Texas Tech will play at TCU next week.

Eight targets in win at Arizona Kelly accrued five catches (on eight targets) for 27 yards during Saturday's 28-22 win against Arizona.

Impact Kelly has at least eight targets in five of six games this season. The surprising aspect of the 2024 Texas Tech Red Raiders is their reliance on the run-game. Tahj Brooks has been awesome with 679 yards and seven touchdowns on 124 carries. When opposing defenses start focusing on Brooks, it should open the field up even more for Kelly. Texas Tech is off next week before playing Baylor in Week 8.
