Stepping away from football Daniels has made the decision to medically retire from football, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports. Impact Daniels has disclosed that after sustaining numerous concussions, doctors have advised him to step away from playing football. The senior quarterback, who spent time with Georgia, West Virginia and Rice, will end his collegiate career with 6,503 passing yards (529-of-827), 51 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. Daniels has expressed interest in entering the coaching space.
