The only blemish on the day came when a touchdown run was wiped off the board due to a questionable forward progress stoppage, with quarterback Aidan Chiles taking it into the end zone himself the next play. Lynch-Adams will continue to split carries with Nathan Carter for the foreseeable future, but his performance on Friday will likely earn him plenty of opportunities moving forward.

Impact With his day against Merrimack, the junior surpassed a thousand yards on the ground in a season for the first time in his career. In 2023 Lynch-Adams has 201 carries for 1,014 yards and nine touchdowns. The junior could have a tough time adding to his total in the Minutemen's next game, Nov. 18, at Liberty. The Flames defense is around the top 20 against the run in the country and has allowed only seven rushing touchdowns this season.

Several touches equal few yards Lynch-Adams had another big game in terms of carries with 13 but for little yards, this time 31 in the 63-0 victory over Penn State on Saturday.

Impact The problem for the senior is not the chances but the room to run. Lynch-Adams also had 13 carries for just 41 yards against Arkansas State on Sept. 30. If the Minutemen give the senior the carries, he should be able to find room in the next contest, Oct 28 at Army. The Black Knights' rushing defense is near the bottom in country, allowing almost 176 yards on the ground per game.
