Despite being one of five Bulls to receive at least six carries, Joiner appears to still be the lead back. He faces a favorable matchup Saturday versus Tulsa.

Impact Joiner had another productive day Friday as he scored two touchdowns in his second straight game. He caught a three-yard touchdown in the third quarter, then scored a 17-yard touchdown on the ground early in the fourth quarter. Although Joiner received fewer touches than Nay'Quan Wright, he still had a very productive outing. He will likely continue to split reps with Wright and Ta'Ron Keith, but Joiner has proven to have a high upside, particularly in favorable matchups.

Impact Joiner scored three massive touchdowns Saturday, scores that led the Bulls to a comeback win for the team's first conference win of the season. He caught a 10-yard touchdown in the third quarter, then scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in the final seven minutes to secure the victory. He also accumulated a season-high 128 yards from scrimmage and looked to be the lead back over Ta'Ron Keith and Nay-Quan Wright. It is still a split backfield, but Joiner has clearly looked the best among the three.

Impact Joiner unsurprisingly did not do much versus the tough Miami defense, but he actually ran the ball well given he only saw six carries. Through four games he has had had two very quiet games versus elite opponents, and two very productive outings versus subpar opponents. Even though he faces two of the best teams in the conference in his next two games, he should be a much more consistent asset for the remainder of the season.

Impact Even though Joiner received the third most carries on the team -- behind quarterback Byrum Brown and Nay'Quan Wright -- he led the team in rushing yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, his second game this season with multiple scores. Even though the Bulls are currently utilizing a committee in the backfield, Joiner has proved that he can be productive even without a massive amount of touches.

This came as a bit of a surprise as last year's starter Nay'Quan Wright was expected to assume that same role this season. While the carries will be split, and quarterback Byrum Brown will gobble up more of the running game, Joiner appears to have a much larger role in the Bulls' offense than expected.
