Impact After a couple poor games, Odom bounced back in a major way. There is a clear thing to point to here, and that's the return of Skyler Locklear under center. However, UTEP's next game is a visit to Tennessee, so be mindful of that.

Held to 19 yards Odom caught four passes for 19 yards against MTSU on Saturday.

Impact There was worry for Odom's upside once Skyler Locklear (undisclosed) got hurt and true freshman JP Pickles seemed primed to start. That did prove accurate. Pickles completed 18 passes and had 19 rushing attempts, and this passing game is in trouble until if and when Locklear returns.

NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE

Held to five yards receiving Odom caught two passes for five yards against La Tech on Tuesday.

Impact Unfortunately, there's a plausible reason behind this down game. Skyler Locklear went down with an undisclosed injury and is a game-time call for Week 10 against MTSU. If he can't go, likely starter JP Pickles is a run-first true freshman quarterback.

Nets 95 yards Odom caught four passes for 95 yards versus FIU on Wednesday.

Impact You can see why Odom also returns kicks for the Miners, because he is a big-play receiver. He's turned 23 catches into 530 yards and four touchdowns.

Picks up long TD Odom can one pass Thursday against WKU, but it went for a 76-yard touchdown.

Impact Obviously, you don't want to see a guy only getting one catch, but the big play from Odom is not a bit surprise. Over the last five games he now has over 400 yards and four touchdowns. He's tallied at least 64 yards in each of those games, so clearly he can be productive and has a role in this offense, even if his workload was light against the Hilltoppers.

OCTOBER 10 • ROTOWIRE

Nets 70 yards Odom caught four passes for 70 yards versus Sam Houston on Thursday.

Impact Odom already has more yards and as many touchdowns as he had in 10 games with Austin Peay last season. He has to fight with Kam Thomas for touches and targets, but Thomas has been more of a possession receiver, while Odom brings the big plays fantasy players like.

Big game versus CSU Odom caught seven passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns against Colorado State on Saturday.

Impact What's notable is that both of Odom's touchdowns came after Skyler Locklear was replaced at quarterback by Cade McConnell. Thus, it doesn't seem like a change under center will cramp his style. After doing nothing in UTEP's opener, Odom has 189 yards and three touchdowns over his last three games.

Impact Odom was only targeted once in Week 1 against Nebraska, but since then things gave gone better. He had five catches for 97 yards in Week 2, and now he's broken off a 60-yard touchdown against a conference opponent.

Impact Odom is one of many Austin Peay players Scotty Walden brought with him to UTEP. He was a non-factor in Week 1, only being targeted once. This game was against an FCS opponent. Let's see what Odom does in Week 3 against Liberty.
