JD Sherrod - Suffers torn achilles Sherrod (achilles) will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season after tearing his achilles during Saturday's 56-0 loss against Penn State, Steve Helwick of SB Nation reports. Impact Sherrod, the primary backup option for the Golden Flashes this season, will miss the rest of the season with a torn achilles injury. The 6-foot-2 redshirt freshman saw action in two games prior to his injury, tossing for 18 yards (2-for-7), adding on 67 yards with his legs. With Devin Kargman (hip) also ruled out for the season, Tommy Ulatowski, will start for Kent State moving forward.
