Comes up short in The Game McCord was 18-for-30 passing for 271 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Saturday's 30-24 loss versus Michigan. Impact McCord put up solid passing yards despite facing one of the nation's best all-around defenses in Michigan. But, he still logged his second-lowest completion percentage of the season while also throwing multiple interceptions for the second time all year. The junior signal-caller was intercepted twice while targeting superstar wideout Marvin Harrison; though, it's unclear if the first turnover was McCord's fault, as Harrison appeared to stop running his route early and allow the Michigan defensive back to jump in front of him for the pick. McCord had an opportunity to lead Ohio State on a last-ditch, game-winning drive with just over one minute remaining. He completed back-to-back passes for 43 yards before taking a hard hit while passing to Harrison deep over the middle once again, resulting in the game-sealing interception in Michigan territory. McCord went 13-for-23 passing for 153 yards to receivers other than Harrison. With Ohio State now knocked out from next week's Big Ten Championship, it's unclear if the team's draft-eligible skill players, including Harrison and slot receiver Emeka Egbuka, will opt to sit out of the team's upcoming bowl game.
