Remaining in Athens McConkey announced that he will return to Georgia for his redshirt junior season in 2023, Seth Emerson of The Athletic reports.

Impact McConkey led the Bulldogs' shorthanded wideout corps this past season, as this unit dealt with a slew of injuries for much of the season. The 6-foot wideout still finished second on the team in receptions (58) and receiving yards (762) behind highly-talented sophomore tight end Brock Bowers. Nevertheless, McConkey's return alongside Bowers should help provide Georgia a solid base of receivers as the team looks to replace starting quarterback Stetson Bennett, who is set to graduate after leading Georgia to back-to-back national championships over the past two seasons.
