ImpactSmith has been out for the last handful of games with an undisclosed injury. He didn't make much of an impact, but at least he was able to get out there and try to work himself back into shape. Smith should see more targets next week against UTEP.

ImpactThe yardage wasn't great, but two touchdowns certainly delivered the goods, as did the six catches for many fantasy players out there. While it feels like Corley has stepped down from his 101 catches, 1,293 yards, and 11 touchdowns last season, that was in 14 games. Through seven games this year he has 49 catches for 652 yards and seven scores. He's actually been even better, if less consistent.

ImpactYoung transferred in from Missouri, which was an interesting choice as WKU does not use its running backs much. Indeed, even with the SEC cache, Young has 47 catches for 187 yards this year. Also, he may have come up big through the air here, but he has 66 receiving yards total on the season.

ImpactThis is the kind of game we have come to expect from Reed, but have seen fewer of this year. In fact, this is only his second game with over 300 yards passing. Now, through eight games Reed has 2,273 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions, so you can't complain. It's just clearly been a reality check for this passing offense.
