Juju Lewis - Out for seasonLewis will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL, Kevin Barral of SI.comreports.
ImpactLewis underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL on Thursday and will now redshirt this season. Ross Fournet and Mike Jackson should see increased playing time for the remainder of the season in Lewis' absence.

Dean Patterson - Another five-catch gamePatterson caught five passes for 74 yards Saturday against La Tech.
ImpactFour times in five games Patterson has caught exactly five passes. Over the last three weeks he's had over 70 yards in every game, and he's tallied three touchdowns. Eric Rivers has been the best receiver for FIU, but it feels like the long-lackluster program has a couple weapons in 2024.

Eric Rivers - Another strong showingRivers caught seven passes for 97 yards and a score Saturday versus La Tech.
ImpactRivers fell just short of his third 100-yard game in a row, but he did catch a touchdown for the third time in four outings. While the redshirt junior did little in the opener against Indiana, perception of Curt Cignetti's squad has changed quite a bit since then. Rivers is looking quite good for the Panthers.

Lexington Joseph - Best game in yearsJoseph ran 13 times for 73 yards and a touchdown against La Tech on Saturday.
ImpactJoseph essentially didn't play in 2023 due to injury, and he was easing into things to start this year it would seem. This is his first game with double-digit touches, but he did manage to average 5.6 yards per carry and find the end zone. Maybe FIU is going to roll with him as the number-one back sooner rather than later.

Keyone Jenkins - Throws TDJenkins went 17-for-31 for 208 yards and a touchdown against La Tech on Saturday.
ImpactThe Bulldogs seem less bad on defense than in recent seasons, but you still want more than this at home from Jenkins. This was his third game of the season without a turnover, which is encouraging after he was a turnover machine as a true freshman starter in 2023. Of course, only one of his five fumbles have resulted in a turnover, so he's also been lucky.
SEPTEMBER 29•ROTOWIRE
Mike Jackson - Nets 81 yardsJackson caught five passes for 81 yards versus FIU on Saturday, but he lost a fumble.
ImpactJackson caught a touchdown in La Tech's opener, but that was against Nicholls. Last week against Tulsa he didn't even have a catch, so it has been a mixed bag at best in 2024.
SEPTEMBER 29•ROTOWIRE
Tru Edwards - An unremarkable eight-catch dayEdwards caught eight passes for 39 yards against FIU on Saturday.
ImpactWhen you average under five yards per reception, that's not good. New starting QB Evan Bullock was running the classic "safe" pass offense, but that relies on receivers to make something happen. Clearly, Edwards was not up to the task.
