Plans to enter portal Elzy (not injury related) plans to enter the transfer portal, per On3.com.

Impact Elzy was reported to be no longer with the program shortly after he was ruled out for Illinois' thrilling win over USC. The wide receiver was never able to secure a consistent role with the Illini, and given that he's only played in four games this season, he'll chalk 2025 up as a redshirt year and look to relocate for his senior season.

Impact Elzy was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school, but was unable to claim a sizable role in the offense during his first three seasons with the Illini.
