Roman Hemby - Leads backfield in opener Hemby logged 14 rushes for 66 yards and one touchdown and reeled in all three targets for 15 yards during Saturday's 50-7 victory versus Connecticut. Impact Hemby lead the backfield in yards and attempts on the day, also finding the end zone on a four-yard touchdown scamper in the third quarter. Though the redshirt junior running back had a long carry of just 13 yards on the day, his production remained consistent throughout the game as he averaged a very respectable 4.7 YPC. Fellow running back Nolan Ray broke a 48-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, but Hemby more than doubled Ray's carry total on the day, giving a clear indication of who is the lead back in the offense. A home matchup against Michigan State awaits the Terrapins on Saturday.
