Impact Hemby accounted for all but 74 of the Terrapins' 225 total rushing yards against the Mustangs, including a game-long 50-yard run on the team's first play from scrimmage, while quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa totaled 51 yards on the ground as well. The redshirt freshman running back also connected on all four of his targets from Tagovailoa for an additional 62 yards through the air, thus finishing as Maryland's second-leading receiver behind wideout Rakim Jarrett (two receptions, three targets, 65 yards, one touchdown) on Saturday. Hemby currently sits as his team's No. 1 rusher through the first three weeks of 2022 (32 carries, 294 yards, three touchdowns), and he should continue to hold onto this top spot so long as running back Challen Faamatau (undisclosed) remains sidelined this season.
