Impact The senior tight end didn't have a ton of involvement in the passing game but was able to save his day with a touchdown. Okonkwo will probably be a touchdown dependent option at tight end this season.

Rakim Jarrett - Excellent in win Jarrett reeled in six of seven targets for 122 yards and one touchdown in the 30-24 win over West Virginia on Saturday.

Impact The sophomore receiver and quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa were in sync all game only disconnecting on one pass. Jarett and fellow receiver Dontay Demus look like they will be a tough one-two punch in the passing game and will likely put a lot of pressure on defenses. Look for Jarrett to break out in a big way in 2021.

Dontay Demus - Huge day in opener Demus reigned in six of nine targets for 133 yards and one touchdown in the 30-24 win over West Virginia on Saturday.

Impact Demus showed his wheels in the first quarter when he went deep for a 66-yard touchdown and then remained hot the rest of the game. The 6-foot-3 receiver is probably the second option in Maryland's passing game but there is plenty of room for two receivers in this high-flying passing attack.

Isaiah Jacobs - Gets decent work in reserve role Jacobs rushed the ball 14 times for 50 yards and caught three passes for 23 yards in the 30-24 win over West Virginia on Saturday.

Impact Jacobs appears to be the primary backup to Tayon Fleet-Davis despite being listed below Challen Faamatau on the depth chart. The sophomore looked good in his depth role and will likely have some value given the amount of touches he gets even when Fleet-Davis is in the game.

Impact The senior is the clear leader in this backfield and should have a very productive year in an offense that has shown it can be explosive.

Taulia Tagovailoa - Takes a step forward in opener Tagovailoa completed 26 of 36 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns in the 30-24 win over West Virginia on Saturday. He also rushed the ball six times for three yards.

Impact Tagovailoa looked like his brother in the NFL this Saturday as he thrashed West Virginia through the air with excellent decision making connecting on 72 percent of his passes and avoiding costly turnovers. Also the Maryland quarterback has a paid of pass catchers in Dontay Demus and Rakim Jarrett that look dynamic enough to really make this passing attack exciting in 2021.
