Lands at UT Martin Myers announced Friday via his personal Twitter account that he's committed to transfer to UT Martin.

Impact After primarily operating as a backup quarterback at Buffalo across the last four years, Myers has since announced his decision to relocate to UT Martin for his final remaining eligible campaign. The 6-foot-4 pass thrower didn't attempt a pass in 2022, but he's proven to be problematic with his legs throughout his collegiate career, logging 386 yards and 10 scores on the ground in 18 games played.

Withdraws from portal Myers has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal and is returning to Buffalo, Rivals.com reports.

Impact Buffalo had a recent coaching change and some players entered the portal as a result. Myers was among them but has since decided to remain with the program. Kyle Vantrease appears to be entrenched as the starter, though, so playing time could be hard to come by for Myers this fall.

Impact Myers becomes the sixth Bulls player to enter the portal since head coach Lance Leipold left Buffalo to take the top job at Kansas. As a redshirt sophomore in 2020, Myers saw limited work while served as the top understudy to starting quarterback Kyle Vantrease. During his three years with the Buffalo program, Myers completed 47.7 percent of his passes for 5.7 yards per attempt and a 6:4 TD:INT while rushing 33 times for 97 yards and three scores. He'll have up to three years of eligibility to use at his next school.
