Status uncertain for 2020 Duggan is uncertain to play in the 2020 season due to an undisclosed health condition, Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Impact With the Big 12 season set to kick off just over three weeks away as of now, coach Gary Patterson said Thursday that the team could be without Duggan. The sophomore hasn't practiced much with the team this offseason, and Matthew Downing has been getting much of the first-team reps at quarterback during fall camp. Patterson said that Duggan has had the undisclosed condition his entire life but found out recently with the team ramping up its protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In 12 games of action, Duggan completed 59.7 percent of his passes for 2,077 yards and 15 touchdowns with 10 interceptions to go along with 555 yards and six touchdowns on the ground in 2019. If Duggan is unable to play this campaign, expect Downing to step in as the lead man at the quarterback position.
