Ruled out for the spring Mallory had a minor offseason shoulder procedure done and will not partake in spring activities, David Wilson of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact It's unclear what exactly Mallory was dealing with in his shoulder but his procedure was described as minor so there shouldn't be much to worry about in terms of his availability for fall camp. The junior tight end had 22 catches for 329 yards and four touchdowns this past season and is looking to step into his new role as the team's starting tight end with the departure of Brevin Jordan.

With lead back Cam'Ron Harris announcing plans to return to Miami in 2021, Knighton should tentatively slot in as the No. 2 option on the depth chart.
