The freshman running back has had a productive season for the Cardinal, running for 270 yards on 63 attempts while adding 14 catches for 82 yards through the air. Ford will hope to use the team's upcoming bye to recover in time for Stanford's game against Louisville the following Saturday.

Extremely limited once again Ford posted four carries for 16 yards and gathered in all two targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 27-24 defeat to Wake Forest.

Impact Ford has now strung together two straight dud weeks. The tailback never got going with just four carries, and this Stanford backfield is a mess overall right now. Ford split carries with Chris Davis and Ryan Butler, and has no semblance of control on the top spot in this backfield anymore.

Bottled up in blowout loss Ford recorded 13 carries for 31 yards and reeled in 2 of 3 targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 40-10 defeat versus Southern Methodist.

Impact Ford was unable to get going against SMU, which is unsurprising given the lopsided score. Teams that lose by 30 rarely get a chance to establish the run, and Stanford was no exception. The true freshman was once again the leading rusher for Stanford, however, and this is now Ford's backfield to lose in Palo Alto.

Spotted warming up Ford (undisclosed) was seen warming up, the Stanford Daily reports.

Impact Ford missed Week 7 with an undisclosed injury, but it appears the true freshman tailback is in line to return to the gridiron against SMU. He burst onto the scene against Clemson with 122 yards before posting 57 yards against Virginia Tech the week prior.

Ruled out Saturday Ford (undisclosed) was ruled out for Stanford's 49-7 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday, per Dylan Grausz of Sports Illustrated.

Impact Ford was ruled out in the hours prior to Saturday's game for undisclosed reasons. The freshman running back had run for 223 yards on 46 carries through the teams first five games this season, though 216 of them had come in Utah's previous three games. The severity of Ford's injury is thus far unknown, though his status for next week's game against SMU is in question.

Impact After a breakout performance against Clemson last week, Ford was rewarded with the most carries on the team against Virginia Tech. Still, in a 24-point defeat, that didn't matter all that much in terms of production. Ford may have staked his claim as the top running back in this backfield, but he'll look to back that up with more palatable production next week against Notre Dame.

Stands out in blowout loss Ford accrued 15 carries for 122 yards and reeled in 1 of 2 targets for two yards during Saturday's 40-14 loss against Clemson.

Impact Ford was excellent against Clemson and managed to tally 122 yards on the ground in a severe blowout loss, which is no small feat. It was easily the best performance of the true freshman's career, one that should earn him more touches moving forward in this Stanford backfield.

SEPTEMBER 30 • ROTOWIRE

Modest outing vs. Syracuse Ford had eight carries for 47 yards during Friday's 26-24 win versus Syracuse.

Impact Ford remains a rotational contributor for Stanford. His 47 yards were his highest total on the year, and he helped lead the way for the Cardinal backfield along with Chris Davis while starter Sedrick Irvin didn't do much of anything. Ford, like Davis, should continue to see their snaps uptick moving forward as the continue to contribute on the ground.

Impact Ford's rushing output was severely limited, as he couldn't even turn three carries into positive yards. He managed to salvage his day with five catches, however. Stanford has thrown the ball to its tailbacks plenty this season, and that's good news for the Cardinal tailbacks that haven't been able to get into a rhythm running the football, Ford included.
