Competing for starting job Penix, who announced his commitment to Washington in December, will participate in a battle for the starting spot in 2022, Lauren Smith of The Olympian reports. Impact Penix, who spent four seasons with Indiana, will look to beat out Dylan Morris and Sam Huard for the job. During Penix's time with Indiana, the 6-foot-3 senior appeared in 20 games, logging 4,197 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, on 342-for-576 passing (59.38 percent completion). Penix will enter the battle as the most experienced quarterback of the group, but he has spent the least time with the program of the three.
