Loses starting QB job Wright will not be Northwestern's starting quarterback Saturday against Eastern Illinois, Matthew Shelton of Rivals reports.
Impact While Wright has tremendous speed, he struggled with his accuracy and decision making in Saturday's loss to Duke. Jack Lausch will be Northwestern's starting quarterback Saturday. Wright was 20-of-36 with no touchdowns and an interceptions against Duke. He also had several near miss interceptions and a poor decision not to throw a ball away and take a rushing loss late in overtime.

Impact Wright looked a little rusty in his Northwestern debut as he lost two fumbles on a snap from center and was a little off target with some of his passes. However, he didn't throw an interception and his rushing ability added a needed extra dimension to the Wildcats offense. He looks set to remain under center for Northwestern.

Impact Wright will make his third consecutive start for the Bulldogs with Will Rogers (arm) out again. That said, the senior hasn't put up big numbers in the last two contests, putting up 246 passing yards and a 2:2 TD:INT ratio between them. However, he has added 123 rushing yards in his two starts the last couple of weeks as well.

Impact Wright has thrown for a touchdown as well as rushed for at least 60 yards in each of the last two games for the Bulldogs, both starts made in place of the injured Will Rogers (arm). The Bulldogs have a tough matchup with Kentucky next weekend, so whoever lines up under center may have a difficult task ahead.
