Mike Wright - Staying in the SEC Wright announced via his personal Twitter on Saturday that he will transfer to Mississippi State. Impact Wright will head to Starkville after spending the first three seasons of his career with conference rival Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-4 dual-threat quarterback opened the 2022 season as the Commodores' starter before losing this role four games into the campaign. However, he then relieved new starter AJ Swann in back-to-back games after he exited with injuries. Wright would ultimately reprise a starting role for the final three games of the season, finishing the year with a 57.4 completion percentage for 974 yards and a 12:4 TD:INT ratio to go along with 71 rushes for a career-high 517 yards and five scores on the ground. Wright will likely compete for the Bulldogs' No. 2 quarterback role behind three-year starter Will Rogers.
