Impact Ibrahim tallied his first 200-plus-yard of the 2022 season and his first such performance since Minnesota's tilt against Illinois during the 2020 campaign. The graduate senior has now rushed for over 100 yards in each of his last 12 starts during the past three seasons, which includes his lone game played in the 2021 season before going down for the year with lower leg injury. Ibrahim has shouldered the bulk of the Golden Gophers' rushing production through the team's non-conference schedule, and he will likely see his overall usage increase after top wideout Chris Autman-Bell (lower body) suffered a season-ending injury against the Buffaloes.

Impact Ibrahim's season ended swiftly after suffering ruptured Achilles tendon in Minnesota's first game, but he is ready to return to the field. The running back has been cleared to participate in the Gophers' preseason camp on Aug. 1 and will be ready to face New Mexico State in their first game.

Impact The Gophers starting tailback suffered a season-ending achilles injury early last season, and appears to still be ramping up to full participation. Ibrahim plans to practice without pads and then workout before dawn, separate from his team, during Ramadan. According to head coach PJ Fleck, Ibrahim won't see "true contact" until fall camp rolls around. After a crushing injury ended what should've been the halfback's sendoff season, he should resume his role as a workhorse in the backfield upon return.
