Breaks 100 yards in season finale Matavao posted eight receptions (on 11 targets) for 120 yards during Saturday's 20-13 win over Fresno State.

Impact Matavao logged season-highs across the board as he eclipsed 100 receiving yards for just the second time this season. The 6-foot-6 senior was a consistent pass-catcher during his final season of collegiate eligibility, finishing with career-highs across the board with 41 catches for 506 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the Bruins in receptions and receiving yards this year, so he'll leave a farily significant workload to fill in the team's passing game next season.

Catches late TD in loss Matavao caught all seven targets for 68 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 31-19 defeat against Washington.

Impact Matavao logged over 50 receiving yards for the third game in a row. The 6-foot-6 senior tied wideout Titus Mokiao-Atimalala for the Bruins' second-most targets behind wideout Kwazi Gilmer. Matavao also caught one of quarterback Ethan Garbers' two passing touchdowns when he hauled in a two-yard score with nine seconds remaining. The tight end has been a significant piece of the passing offense over his past three games, tallying all but one of 18 targets for 224 yards and one touchdown. Matavao will look to remain involved during next week's rivalry matchup versus USC.

The Bruins' offense had by far its best game of the season while facing a Rutgers defense that was without multiple key contributors on defense. The senior tight end was one of the primary beneficiaries, as he and running back Keegan Jones led this receiving corps with six targets apiece. Given UCLA's lackluster offensive performances in just about every other game this season, it's likely that this offense will regress to its mean during next week's road game at Nebraska.
