ImpactWindham was a redshirt senior in 2020, but used his extra year of COVID-19 eligibility to return again. That means he brings plenty of experience to the passing game, which could mean that transfer quarterback Bailey Hockman looks to him as a reliable option.

ImpactLast year as a true freshman Lane only caught 17 passes in seven games. This represents a big step up in involvement in the MTSU offense. That's not uncommon for sophomores, of course, but this was also against an FCS team.

ImpactThe MTSU running game was just throwing everything against the wall to see what stuck. Eleven different players got at least one carry, but nobody got more than seven. This is, needless to say, an unclear situation currently. Mobley just happens to be the veteran in the group and got the touchdown.

ImpactHockman transferred in from NC State and won the starting job. This was against an FCS team, but so far so good for the quarterback. Next week against Virginia Tech will be an interesting test.
