Impact Despite the injury, Leonard is expected to suit up this week against Purdue. The quarterback struggled mightily against the Huskies, tossing for 163 yards and two interceptions in the stunning defeat. This will surely be something to monitor for the starting quarterback, but it appears as if Leonard dodged a bullet with the injury and should be good to go against the Boilermakers.

Impact The sophomore has taken control of the Irish rushers. It was thought that there could possibly be a battle with Jadarian Price for the lead back, and Love has grabbed that assignment so far in the early going. Notre Dame takes on Purdue on Saturday (Sept. 14). The Boilermakers run defense was in the top 50 in the country last season, allowing 141 rushing yards per game.
