Kenny Minchey - Gets snaps in blowout winMinchey completed his only pass attempt for four yards during Saturday's 66-7 victory versus Purdue. He also had two rushes for 12 yards with one touchdown.
ImpactThe redshirt freshman received his first snaps under center since last season when the Irish defeated Tennessee State, 56-3. Minchey is actually 3-for-3 in his young career. In the 2023 game Minchey was 2-for-2 for 12 yards. The rushing touchdown was also his first one for the Irish.

Steve Angeli - Plenty reps in reliefAngeli was 6-for-9 passing for 100 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 66-7 victory versus Purdue.
ImpactIt was the first appearance for the junior since the 40-8 win over Oregon State in the Sun Bowl last December. In that game, Angeli was 15-of-19 for 232 yards and three passing touchdowns. If the Notre Dame offense does a repeat on Sept. 21 against Miami (Ohio), Angeli could be under center in the second half. He would need an injury or extended poor play by quarterback Riley Leonard for him to regain the starting role.

ImpactLove had his best day for the Irish. His previous high mark on the ground was last season against Ohio State, 57 yards on eight carries. The sophomore could have another big game running the ball on Sept. 21 against Miami (Ohio) who allowed Cincinnati's Corey Kiner to collect 126 rushing yards on Saturday.
