ImpactThe sophomore's game against the Aggies was his career best. Love had 57 rushing yards on eight carries last season against Ohio State. The sophomore drew first blood in the battle for the lead back to replace Audric Estime, who is currently with the Denver Broncos. Love's main competition is junior Jadarian Price who compiled 44 yards on eight carries against A&M and a touchdown. The sophomore will probably have a better running game against Northern Illinois in the home opener on Sept. 7. The Huskies were in the middle of the pack in the country against the run in 2023.

Leonard faced a trial by fire against a defense that might be the toughest he will face in the 2024 regular season.
