Israel Abanikanda - Won't play in bowl game, going pro Abanikanda announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he'll forego the Sun Bowl against UCLA on Dec. 30 and instead prepare for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Impact Abanikanda is now slated to enter the NFL after a solid three-year stint at Pittsburgh. In that span, the 215-pound running back rushed 390 times for 2,177 yards and 28 touchdowns, while he also caught 38 passes for 354 yards and three more scores. Despite missing a game and a half due to injury during his junior campaign, Abanikanda led the country with 21 touchdowns, ranked No. 9 nationally in total rushing yards (1,431) and was selected first team All-ACC.

Christian Veilleux - Heading to Pitt Veilleux announced he intends to transfer to Pittsburgh.

Impact Veilleux will stay within the state of Pennsylvania after falling down the quarterback depth chart with Penn State this season. The second-year freshman will now join a quarterback room that includes fellow transfer Phil Jurkovec, who will join Pitt after three seasons as the starting signal-caller for Boston College. Veilleux will also likely compete with returning quarterbacks Nick Patti and Nate Yarnell, who all figure to vie for the starting job after JT Daniels also entered the portal this December.
