Mixed results in debut Henicle was 5-for-12 passing for 38 yards and one interception during Saturday's 37-17 loss to Virginia Tech. He also had 13 rushes for 64 yards with one touchdown.

Impact ODU's third-string quarterback, Henicle replaced backup Colton Joseph after two drives Saturday as the Monarchs looked for a Grant Wilson (elbow) replacement. Henicle struggled outside of a 65-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and turned the ball over twice (one interception, one fumble). Old Dominion's next game will be Sept. 28 at Bowling Green and it's unclear if Wilson will be healthy for the contest.
