Forgoing bowl game for NFL Johnson announced Friday that he's decided to opt out of the Alamo Bowl against Washington on Dec. 29 and instead prepare for the 2023 NFL Draft, Jeff Howe of 247Sports.com reports... Impact Johnson is now slated to enter professional ball following his four-year tenure at Texas. The 223-pounder remained consistent throughout his time in school by logging at least 80 carries, 415 yards and five touchdowns on the ground in each of his four seasons with the Longhorns. Despite operating behind one of the nation's top running backs in Bijan Robinson for most of his collegiate career, Johnson was still able to total 448 touches for 2,610 yards and 26 scores across the last four campaigns. Keilan Robinson and Jonathon Brooks are now in line to serve as Texas' top backfield options in the Alamo Bowl versus Washington on Dec. 29.
