Fighting for starting job Huard is engaged in a three-way contest for the starting spot for the Huskies in 2022, Lauren Smith of The Olympian reports. Impact Huard, who was the third option for the Huskies in 2021, will compete for the starting quarterback job in 2022. The 6-foot-2 freshman appeared in four games during the 2021 season, logging 241 passing yards, one touchdown and four interceptions, on 22-for-42 passing (52.38 percent completion). Huard enters the competition as the least experienced of the three competitors, but he will look to leverage his youth and experience with the program to win the starting job.
