Impact The former Hoosier transferred to Purdue in August before the 2021 season, and was thus not granted eligibility to play last year. Having not seen the field since 2020, James was buried on the Boilermakers' depth chart. He'll now look for his third team, hoping to be immediately eligible.

Impact James saw a limited role during the 2020-21 season with Indiana, as he only ran the ball 32 times for 96 yards. Now with Purdue, the running back will need to compete with Zander Horvath and King Doerue for the team's starting running back role.
