Struggles against FAU Kenerson completed two of three passes for 20 yards and an interception in Saturday's 38-6 loss to FAU. He also had nine carries for 35 yards. Impact Kenerson was expected to vie for the Eagles' starting job with Justin Tomlin suspended for the first two games of the season (academics). In the end, the sophomore was held out of Georgia Southern's Week 1 game against Gardner-Webb and threw just three passes in Week 2, with one ending in an interception. He did rush for 35 yards on nine attempts, but that works out to just 3.9 yards per carry. He also lost a fumble, which traditionally does not win favor with head coaches. With Tomlin eligible to return for next week's game against Arkansas, Kenerson looks to be the odd man out.
