Sloppy in rainy win Clifford went 10-of-20 passing for 140 yards and a 1:1 TD:INT ratio while adding 13 yards on three carries during Saturday's 17-7 win over Northwestern. Impact Clifford battled the elements during Saturday's rainy win, finishing with 10 completions in a full start for just the second time in his career. The graduate senior also notched season-lows in completion percentage and passing yards. Clifford turned the ball over with an ill-advised throw out of heavy pressure in the first quarter, but he quickly followed this up with a catch-and-run touchdown pass to tight end Benton Strange. Clifford has completed over 64 percent of his passes for 175-plus passing yards in three out of five games this season, and he'll have a chance to get back in the scoring column during Penn State's next game against Michigan in Week 7.
