Ideally for Davis, he can recover relatively quickly, perhaps in time to make Mississippi State's 2024 season. In the meantime, the Aggies' running game includes Davon Booth, Jeffery Pittman and Keyvone Lee.

Exits game Thursday Davis (undisclosed) was assisted off the field during Thursday's 17-7 loss to Mississippi, Brian Hadad of SportsTalk Mississippi reports.

Impact Davis went down prior to recording a carry in Thursday's matchup with Mississippi. The true freshman running back will close out his first collegiate campaign with 59 carries for 356 yards and one touchdown as the Bulldogs will miss out on a 2023 bowl game.
